The Boys Brigade companies in Stirlingshire are fantastic donators to Start Up Stirling. Today the 4th Stirling Boys Brigade Company visited Start Up Stirling to donate their Lent donations. The boys collated a whopping 45.64kg of food and household items-including our much needed teaspoons and ladles!! Many thanks to the boys and officers of the company and keep up the hard work!! We are busy working on claiming gift aid for all the donations that have been made to Start Up Stirling. This provides us with an extra 25p for every pound donated, where we have a signed form.
The University of Stirling Ladies Hockey Club donated 11 bags worth of donation as part of their campaign to give back to the local community. This is a massive donation from the club and we really appreciate their support. Here is a picture of some of our staff alongside one of the club members and their donation bags. Well done SULHC!
Amazons Smile campaign has expanded and now includes Start Up Stirling.
On Saturday 24 March, Laura headed to Callander Primary School to pitch for funds to support growth of our rural support services and Linda was at Stirling High School to pitch for funding towards the cost of items for our Starter Packs.
Special mention goes to the Queen Victoria School in Dunblane who rallied together and made a huge collection of donations for us! Great to see how generous and inspiring the young people of Stirlingshire are. Here is a picture of Linda alongside some of the pupils and their impressive collection!
Huge thanks to Maxxium for their donation of Easter Eggs and also for some of those core items we are running short of - tinned meat, jars of sauce and long life milk.
Laura was delighted to be invited to speak at Cambusbarron Primary School & Nursery assembly to tell the pupils about what Start Up Stirling does. The children had lots of great questions.
Linda and Jamie were delighted to meet with Malcolm McNaughton and Craig Watson from the Lodge Ben Ledi in Callander who have been fundraising and collecting food for Start Up Stirling. They very generously donated 46kg of goods and a cheque for £400. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all those who supported this collection as this will go towards our work in and around Callander.
