Start Up Stirling could not do what it does and make the difference it makes to lives all across Stirlingshire if it was not for our AMAZING VOLUNTEERS.
Yesterday we had another fantastic community meal. In partnership with Forth Envionment Link, Sunlite Cafe & ACE Cornton we provided a 3 course meal for members of the local community to come in and eat a lovely hot meal, meet others and enjoy some company.
If you do not have a copy of this new game, please consider buying from Start Up Stirling - the proceeds go to supporting food costs for our Foodbank clients.

We had an amazing day at The Cowane Centre, Stirling , to celebrate our Christmas Lunch! Despite the bad weather, it was an incredible way to end the year with food, music and good cheer. Special thank you’s have to go to the following people; Shelley and her amazing volunteers at the Sunlite cafe, Skinner’s of Kippen, The Boozy Cow staff who served us and provided soft drinks, Gavin and his fabulous musicians who provided our entertainment, Lucinda at Bake it Easy Lts who provided tasty desserts and treats, Tesco who provided desserts, Forth Environment Link, Stirling Council who provided our venue and transport for some of our more rural attendees and of course, our own wonderful volunteers and staff team.
Start Up Stirling welcomed First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and the Children and Young People's Commissioner for Scotland Bruce Adamson on 17 January 2018. They met with volunteers, staff and Janet from Stirling CAB and left with a real understanding of the work we are doing throughout Stirlingshire and some of the significant challenges we face on a weekly basis. Over Christmas 2017, we supported 371 people of which 39.4% were children.
We have had so much help from volunteers - old and new - over the recent weeks which has been a HUGE help! We could not do what we do without them.
It’s not just our schools that have been donating to us. Local sports teams have rallied together, proving that team work really does make the dream work. Stirling Knights Basketball Club brought in 115kg worth of donations and we couldn’t be happier. Thank you to all the club!!
