One of our supporters has found a novel way to raise money for us. She's 'living on the breadline' for four weeks from the 11th October. She's set herself a limit of £30 food budget for the following four weeks (about £1 a day) and has pledged to give the difference between this and what she normally spends on food and drink to Start Up Stirling.
Due to unforeseen circumstances we have unfortunately had to cancel our world record attempt. If you were collecting tins for this, please don't stop. We always need more donations, particularly at Harvest time which helps us to replenish our shelves after the summer. We are sorry we can’t go for the record but your continued assistance at this time would be greatly appreciated.
Start Up Stirling has been given a very special gift! We have been donated 2 tickets to Runrig’s farewell concert in Stirling on Friday 17th of August, as well as a lovely 2 course meal for 2 with a bottle of wine at Brea - Scottish Restaurant in Stirling at 3.00 the day of the concert.
Start Up Stirling supports local people all over Stirlingshire who are facing hardship. From Bridge of Allan to Balfron, we cover it all. However, we are aware that our presence isn't as common in some of our more rural locations. So, we have decided to set up an awareness and fundraising stall at 2 highland games in Stirlingshire. We are attending Lochearnhead Highland Games on Saturday the 21st of July and Killin Highland Games on Wednesday the 1st of August!!
Where is the biggest monument in the world? Name all the Disney princesses. Who won BGT? You’ve guessed it, it’s quiz time! Start Up Stirling are holding a fundraising quiz on Friday 28th September at Stirling County Rugby Club at 7:30pm. £20 a team, maximum of 8 members. All the profits will go towards our Starter pack items and towards buying fresh fruit and veg for our food packs. Bring your friends, family, colleagues and neighbours along for a fabulous night of fun!
