Start Up Stirling provides 30 years of support

In 1994, Start Up Stirling was formed to provide support for individuals and families who were moving into new tenancies with household essentials such as pots, crockery, kitchen utensils and mugs. 30 years on, we have added to the services that we offer, providing crisis food and community hubs across the Stirling Council area, which are open to anyone in the community to access, to enjoy some refreshments and conversation.

But we need your help. Each year, it costs in the region of £320,000 to run our services. We need to hold a number of different events across the Stirling Council area, to help to raise the funds required to do this. Could you host an event, or take part in a challenge event, like the Kiltwalk or Supernova, to raise funds to support people living in hardship in our communities for Start Up Stirling? We can guarantee that we will give you lots of encouragement and support, plus promotion on social media.

For an evening of good music and good company, The Jacobites are supporting Start Up Stirling, and they will be playing on Thursday 12th September at the Victoria Halls in Dunblane, from 7-9pm. Tickets are £15 each, with £5 going directly to the charity. If you would like to know more, please telephone 017866 561027.
