Uniforms Have United Stirling Football and Rugby Clubs

Stirling Albion Football Club, Stirling County Rugby Club and Stirling University Football Club are united in their resolve to support children living in hardship in the Stirling area.

The “Uniforms United” campaign was launched on Tuesday 6th July, as part of the larger Start Up Stirling “Get set for summer & school” campaign. When the players of the 3 clubs heard about the campaign, they wanted to inform their supporters about the difficulties that families living in hardship were facing, trying to find the money to buy new uniforms for their children before the start of the new term.

The 3 teams have joined together to produce a video, encouraging people to support the “Uniforms United” campaign and donate £5 via the Stirling Albion website at shop.stirlingalbionfc.co.uk. This will help to provide children who are receiving crisis food support from Start Up Stirling with a new school uniform, school bag and contents before they go back to school for the new term.

Stirling Albion FC have supported Start Up Stirling over a number of years, including their virtual pie and Bovril scheme, where people could watch matches being live streamed to their home during lockdown and had the opportunity to donate the equivalent amount of their favourite pie and Bovril to Start Up Stirling.

Start Up Stirling would like to thank the teams and their supporters in helping to make a real difference to children and young people's lives.
