Kiltwalk

Published on March 12, 2021

The Kiltwalk is back and it is going virtual! You can take on any challenge you wish – go for a run or walk (of any length), a cycle, jump on a trampoline or even a family scavenger hunt!

Sign up for the Kiltwalk, decide on your challenge and raise funds for Start Up Stirling – it is as simple as that.

And what is more, the Hunter Foundation will add a whopping extra 50% onto your fundraising! So, if you raise £100, the Hunter Foundation will add an extra £50 – just like that.

When is the Virtual Kiltwalk?

The Virtual Kiltwalk weekend is 23-25 April, but you can complete your challenge at any time – you just need to make sure all funds raised are logged by 3rd May to be eligible for the additional Hunter Foundation funding.

How do I register for the Virtual Kiltwalk?

Getting registered is simple, just visit www.thekiltwalk.co.uk/scotlandsvirtual and click ‘Sign Up Now’.

Here you will be able to choose Start Up Stirling as the charity you are fundraising for. You can also create or join a team if you are taking on a challenge with friends or family.

Upon registration, you will receive a Digital Challenge Pack and a JustGiving fundraising page is created for you automatically. All funds raised go to Kiltwalk and they will then send them onto us with the extra 50% from the Hunter Foundation.

What do you get for taking part?

Apart from the sense of achievement in completing your challenge and knowing that you are helping others, you will also receive a medal from the Kiltwalk AND you are automatically entered into a draw to be in with a chance of winning a brand new car courtesy of the Kiltwalk sponsor, Arnold Clark!

Why take on the Virtual Kiltwalk for Start Up Stirling?

Not only will you have fun whilst completing your challenge but you will also be making a huge difference to people facing hardship, right here in the Stirling area. People like Marie* who recently shared how our services have helped her and her family,

“Start Up Stirling has helped my family so much. Last year, before Christmas my husband lost his job and we had nothing. No money, heating, food and Christmas wouldn't have happened. But Start Up Stirling helped us with weekly foodpacks, got us in touch with Money Advice and even delivered food for Christmas dinner and presents for our children. They were there for us.”

By taking part in the Virtual Kiltwalk for Start Up Stirling, you will be raising much needed funds to bring comfort and security to individuals and families who are dealing with extremely distressing circumstances. Your support will show them that someone does care about them and that they do not have to face their problems alone.

We hope you will join Start Up Stirling for this year’s Virtual Kiltwalk – thank you!
